More than 550,000 fans welcomed the Croatia national team in Zagreb on Monday.

The Croatian national football team, responsible for the historic success at the World Cup in Russia this year, arrived at Zagreb’s Franjo Tudjman Airport on Monday afternoon at 15:00. On an open fan bus, the team made their way from the airport to Zagreb’s Ban Jelačić Square after a sensational 6-hour journey.

With explosive singing, screaming, and loud applause, the fans welcomed the new heroes of the nation along the parade route. A spectacular reception was organized for the national team where the Zaprešić Boys heated the atmosphere with songs “Igraj moj Hrvatska” and “Srce Vatreno”.

According to the police estimates, around 110,000 fans gathered at Ban Jelačić Square, 250,000 in the narrow center of the city, and around 200,000 fans on the bus route from the airport.
