Continuing our look at the adventure potential of Croatia through the one man and one dog team of Outdoors Croatia, this week’s video takes us trail running on the Via Adriatica.
Croatia is best known as a tourist destination for its beaches and idyllic islands, but its potential as an adventure tourism destination is only just being discovered.
One of the best channels to see the majesty of Croatia’s adrenaline tourism offer is through the one man and one dog team of Outdoors Croatia, whose videos seemingly cover every inch of Croatia and all its possible sporting disciplines. This week we are trail running along the Via Adriatica, as introduced by the official YouTube channel from Outdoors Croatia:
Via Adriatica is a long distance trail project that will connect all of Croatian coastal mountains from Istria to Dubrovnik. This is where the trail departs from the sea to reach beautiful Dinara mountain and Sinjal peak, the top of Croatia. This video represents how I feel when mountain running. It is a kind of meditation for most of the time, then it gets spinny near the summits and I mostly don’t remember much of the descents.
For this run I chose La Sportiva Akasha shoes from http://www.iglusport.hr/ that are designed for long and technical trails. Even completely wet from deap melting snow below the peak they remained comfortable and dried very quickly.
