Croatia and Turkey to Play Euro 2024 Qualifier at Osijek’s New Opus Arena

June 8, 2023 – Croatia and Turkey will play their EURO 2024 qualifier this October at the brand new Opus Arena in Osijek.

The Executive Board of the Croatian Football Federation held its 13th regular session in Osijek, where numerous decisions related to competitions in the next competitive year were made, as well as where to host the match between Croatia and Turkey, reports HNS.

The Executive Board decided that the EURO 2024 European qualifier between Croatia and Turkey, scheduled for October 12 this year, will be played at the Opus Arena in Osijek. The host will be formally confirmed when UEFA’s inspection of the stadium is completed, and Opus Arena receives UEFA’s permission to play international matches. It will be Croatia’s first game at the new home of NK Osijek.

The Board also made a decision on ticket prices for the match against Latvia, which will be played in September in Rijeka:

Ticket prices until the day before the match:
West Middle: €30
West: €25
East Middle: €20
East: €15
North/South: €12

Ticket prices on the day of the match:
MWest Middle: €33
West: €27
East Middle: €23
East: €20
North/South: €13

The Executive Board adopted the report on the licensing procedure for the 2023/24 competition year and competition propositions for SuperSport HNL, SuperSport First NL, Second NL and SuperSport Croatian Football Cup.

They also decided to amend the Decision on the system of permanent competitions on the proposal of the HNS Competition Commission. At the same time, it was decided that the final of the SuperSport Croatian Football Cup will be played in a two-game format, while one game will be played in all stages of the competition until the final. It was also decided that the return of the playoffs between the ninth-placed SuperSport HNL team and the second-placed SuperSport Prva NL team was postponed until at least the 2026/27 season.

The Ordinance on the status of players and registrations, the Ordinance on the work of the HNS Arbitration Court, the Ordinance on amendments to the Ordinance on football competitions and the Ordinance on amendments to the Ordinance on the cooperation of clubs were also adopted.
