The “Our Hajduk” community is taking over 24,53% of Hajduk’s shares
October 16. 2016 should be the historic day for Hajduk if all goes as Hajduk’s supporters are planning. “Our Hajduk” supporters community reached the agreement with Tommy company to buy just under 25% of Hajduk shares, for 35 million HRK.
As supporters do not have that amount of money to cash out to Tommy, the payment will be made in ten-year installments. The “Our Hajduk” will raise money by crowdfunding, donations and many actions which should ensure the community to control the way Hajduk to be managed in the future.
The signing of the contract between “Tommy” and “Our Hajduk” is scheduled for this Sunday, at the People’s Square (Pjaca) in Split, a symbolic place for Hajduk’s fans, as Torcida was founded there 66 years ago.
One more symbolic gesture by the fans was the venue where they announced this news, under the old mulberry tree next to the old Hajduk’s Stadium, the place which holds so many beautiful memories for every Hajduk fan.
In this way, Our Hajduk is securing Hajduk’s way of management in the future, as there is still many politicians who would be glad to see the Club to be taken over by the people under their control, although that way of management led Hajduk near to liquidation process in the past.
