Touching Scenes: Young Boy with Croatian Flag Applauded through Streets of Brussels (VIDEO)

Touching scenes from the Belgian city after the World Cup final. 

”Proud to be Croat” writes a Croatian from Metković who resides in the Belgian city of Brussels.

On Sunday after the World Cup final between Croatia and France, a young boy walked through the center of the European metropolis with his family, carrying a small Croatian flag. As they walked through the Brussels street, passers-by and those sat in the cafes began to spontaneously clap, reports Gol.hr on July 17, 2018. 

The applause turned into ovations, and the general enthusiasm this family experienced will be remembered for a lifetime. 

The family is a symbol of what we can find in the comments of social networks, and on the pages of international media – though France won the Cup, Croatia won our hearts.

The Belgium national team finished third in the tournament and was also greeted with a spectacular celebration by their fans over the weekend, though it’s hard to imagine anything could surpass the madness that ruled the streets of Zagreb yesterday.
