Croatia coach Zlatko Dalić has published the lineup of the Croatia national football team for the upcoming games against Spain and England in the UEFA Nations League.
In front of the Croatia national team are the last two matches of the Nations League, and for the decisive games against Spain and England, Zlatko Dalić has called upon 25 players, according to the official website of HNS on November 2, 2018.
Croatia will play against Spain in Zagreb and England in London this month for the UEFA Nations League
This month, the World Cup finalists will play two competitive clashes against two former World Champions. On November 15, our ‘Vatreni’ will host Spain at Maksimir in Zagreb, and three days later in London, they will face England, a well-known rival from the World Cup semi-final.
The national team will assemble on November 12 in Zagreb. For the first time, the A-team will feature Josip Brekalo, a winger of Wolfsburg and one of the best players the qualifiers for the U-21 European Championship. Dalić also called up Nikola Vlašić and Duje Ćaleta-Car who already played for the A-team, though they were active for the U-21 squad this autumn.
“We await two excellent and difficult matches, but Croatia can respond to such challenges. We are concentrated on Spain, we want to try to get the win which would keep us in the final tournament. I’m sure the fans will support us in great numbers, as this is the first competitive home match in front of an audience after the World Cup – and the opponent couldn’t be better and more attractive,” Dalić said and added:
“Brekalo, Vlašić, and Ćaleta-Car have made a significant contribution to the young team, now is the right time for them to be with us, and with their energy and talent, they will provide an additional boost to the A-team. I am happy that we do not have any major problems with injuries and I hope it will stay that way until we meet. The players are slowly entering the right form and I believe that we will show more than ever as a team in the Nations League and thus properly announce the European qualifications where our goal is quite clear – Euro 2020.”
Croatia needs two wins to get first place in the group to advance to the ‘Final Four’ of the new UEFA competition.
