Mamić speaks!
Zdravko Mamić has spoken for the first time after being attacked in Tomislavgrad last week. He published photographs of his wounds on his Facebook page with gratitude to all who supported him, reports Slobodna Dalmacija on August 30, 2017.
Mamić devoted his dramatic publication to all of his fans and the patient hospital staff that helped him on his “road to recovery”. The status thrilled his faithful supporters.
“I am grateful for the many support messages I have received every day from you, and I would like to thank my family and especially my wife who was half a meter away from me at the time of the murder attempt. I would also like to thank my relatives who have experienced tremendous fear at the place of my father’s death where we come each year to give him a memorial.
I would like to thank the medical staff at the hospital in Tomislavgrad, and especially the war veterinary unit headed by Dr. Vlado Tabak, who, with his team, thanks to the experience of such injuries from the war, was readily prepared and did a fantastic job for my treatment and quick return to Zagreb. I thank the head of the hospital in Tomislavgrad, Dr. Ivan Bagarić and the mayor of Tomislavgrad, Ivan Vukadin and his associates who immediately came to the hospital to support me.
I thank all of the doctors and nurses who took care of me during my difficult days and recovery which went well because of them. Thank you to the Director of KBC Sveti Duh prof. Dr. Mladen Bušić, Dr. Tomislav Matejić, and everyone who watched over my health. I also thank our club doctor and chief of orthopedics, professor Saša Janković, who was with me every second, Dr. Ivica Smodek, and my wife and daughters who spent every day with me.
Thank you to all of the citizens of Croatia, and especially the fans of Dinamo for their sincere and supportive words and well wishes for a quick recovery. Your support is the reason I will try to come back better and stronger as soon as possible,” he concluded.
