Ivica Zubac and his Los Angeles Clippers have moved into 5th place in the NBA’s Western Conference, which secures them a spot in the playoffs.

The Los Angeles Clippers acquired the 5th place in the NBA’s Western Conference, which also theoretically secures them a place in the playoffs two weeks before the end of the season. The Clippers were better than the Minnesota Timberwolves 122:111, reports Slobodna Dalmacija on March 27, 2019.

Although Dario Šarić was the better player of the two Croatians in the game on Tuesday, scoring 18 points in 27 minutes on the court (shots in play 5/7, three-pointers 2/3, free throws 2/2) with five rebounds and one assist and one steal, Ivica Zubac was more motivated to win the game, scoring eight points in 20 minutes on the court, with six rebounds, two assists and one steal.

The Clippers have clinched six consecutive wins, with a total of 45 this season. Danilo Gallinari led the Clippers with 25 points and ten rebounds, and Lou Williams added 20 from the bench. Karl-Anthony Towns was the best for the Timberwolves with 24 points and 13 rebounds, while Andrew Wiggins locked in 22 points.

The Clippers currently have 45 wins and 30 defeats and are now the 5th team in the Western Conference, while the Timberwolves have 33 wins and 41 losses and will not see the playoffs this season.

In other Croatian NBA news, the Boston Celtics managed to secure the 5th place in the Eastern Conference after their win against the Cleveland Cavaliers (116:106). Jason Tatum and Marcus Smart scored 21 points for the Celtics, while Collin Sexton was the best for the Cavs with 24 points. Ante Žižić remained on the bench for the game.

Bojan Bogdanović and his Indiana Pacers will face Oklahoma City Thunder on Wednesday. The Paces are currently 4th place in the Eastern Conference. Mario Hezonja and his NY Knicks will play the Raptors next, though the New York team has absolutely no chance of making the playoffs, as they sit in the last place in the Eastern Conference. Dragan Bender and the Phoenix Suns will play Grizzlies next, though they also sit in the last place in the Western Conference and won’t be seeing the playoffs this season.
