Todorić Could Seek Asylum in United Kingdom, May Even Succeed?

Lauren Simmonds

One would think that the net had started to close in on the formerly untouchable boss, but has it?

As RTL writes on the 16th of October, 2017, Ivica Todorić is allegedly going to attempt to seek asylum in the United Kingdom, and owing to his position, he may even manage to succeed.

While the idea might seem laughable at first glance, the competent institutions in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland could take his request seriously because the circumstances of his particular case is extremely high on the list of human rights which is upheld and protected by the powerful European Convention on Human Rights.

Net.hr writes that information from sources close to the former Agrokor boss appears to state that he is not planning to return to Croatia, and that he will attempt to gain asylum status where he currently is in the United Kingdom.

It was reported today that Todorić had left Croatia and reported his residence in the British capital of London, and therefore his inaccessibility to the Croatian authorities cannot be considered as some sort of escape.
