Parallel construction of the new Park Hotel and ACI marina Rovinj will ultimately achieve a harmony of exclusive complementary services
The capital reconstruction project of the ACI Marina in Rovinj worth 160 million kuna, begun in the spring of last year, is going according to plan and will be complete by the beginning of the season, the ACI Company has confirmed. Rovinj will thus boast one of the most modern and most luxurious marinas on the Adriatic, capable to berth megayachts up to 35 metres in length, a significant advance in the standards of nautical tourism in Croatia.
The sea section will split the marina in two separate pools, one of which will be partially used in the summer season for charter and transit vessels of smaller dimensions. The new marina will have 192 berths, with an average length of 17 metres per vessel, up from the previous 11 metres. Year-round berthing will be able to host yachts up to 35 metres in length, and in transit even bigger vessels on a dozen berths. This is a significant advancement not only in the nautical offer of Rovinj, but the entire northern Adriatic, as such capabilities were limited in the area.
The reconstruction is in full swing: currently the underwater construction is underway, with above sea level construction focusing on the main seawall, coastal wall ad secondary seawall with an access pier. Weather permitting, underwater works should be complete by the end of January, with February seeing the finalisation of the construction elements of the above sea sections and works on the marina infrastructure.
Parallel construction of the new Park Hotel and ACI marina Rovinj will ultimately achieve a harmony of exclusive complementary services of facilities in the wonderful, attractive area of the Monte Mulini tourism zone.
