Before you brave the holiday chaos, pay a visit to Fuliranje for the last round of fooling around before Christmas

Christmas Eve is just around the corner, a day to be spent with your loved ones, be it family, friends, partners or colleagues – at least the ones you like. We all have a lot of decorating, cooking, feasting and drinking to do in the coming days, but since the forecast calls for an exceptionally sunny winter weekend, why not use to chance to get some fresh air and mingle a bit before you brave the holiday chaos?

Enter Fuliranje, one of our favourite checkpoints when it comes to this year’s Advent in Zagreb. The merry crew at Strossmayer square has prepared a day packed with various activities for the whole family to enjoy, starting from the most important staple item of the holiday season: food.

The gastro square will be overflowing with delicious treats, courtesy of Mason, Meat the King, Pod Zidom, Murter – the Gate of Kornati, Lumperaj, and El Toro Chorizo. Burgers made of Romanov lamb, various takes on codfish, octopus ragu… there’ll be plenty to choose, and in case you’re visiting with kids, Fuliranje has a special line of holiday-themed treats that even the pickiest of eaters will enjoy: bite-sized corndogs at 50 burgers&champagne bar, sparkly dumplings at Lumperaj, mini fritters and crepes at Nonina tajna and cotton candy at the Samsung igloo.

The Enchanted City continues to be a real delight with a Harry-Potter-themed Treasure hunt, to take place at 6. Every fan of the magical saga will be happy to hear some Horcruxes are hiding all over the square, waiting to be claimed by the quickest little adventurers. In case you’re looking for an even more convincing magical experience, there’s the Virtual Reality corner at the Samsung Igloo – put on the VR glasses and let yourself be transported to other worlds.

Oh, and not to forget our four-legged friends: the Hov Hov restaurant for dogs is preparing a proper feast to make all pooches wag their tails in approval.

Food – check, drinks – check, music – check, entertainment – check. Let the fun begin!
