Remember when we went to a press conference at Double Tree by Hilton where Ashley Colburn, TV host and two-time Emmy Award winner announced her plan of filming web video guides for Croatia?
Well, a month has passed and it seems that Ashley has been very busy – her first video came out 10 days ago and it shows some secret places around Zagreb County you can visit to get to know the true charm of this part of Croatia.
“One of my favourite things about Croatia is that tradition still lives on. Here in Zagreb County, I’m going to show you small villages right outside the capital city that still hold on to this cultural heritage,” Ashley says in the video.
Some of the places she takes viewers to are the wine roads of Jastrebarsko, the beautiful wooden chapel of Saint Barbara at Velika Gorica, and an old mill at Sveta Jana – all half an hour away from Zagreb, and great stops if you’re travelling to Plitvice Lakes or the seaside.
