All flights arriving and departing from Dubrovnik Airport are being redirected to Split due to bad weather conditions, confirms the airport. In addition, due to strong winds, the bridge dr. Franjo Tudjman is closed for certain vehicles according to the Croatian Automobile Club (HAK).
From Dubrovnik airport passengers are being transported by bus to the Split airport. “The first bus goes at 13:00 to Split, and the second at 16:30. These are for flights to Zagreb and Frankfurt, and the same is true for arrivals,” said the duty dispatcher. The duty dispatcher added that this morning’s Turkish Airlines flight from Istanbul to Dubrovnik has been canceled, reports Slobodna Dalmacija on January 5, 2017.
The strong winds are also causing problems for road transport, says HAK, and the bridge dr. Franjo Tudjman is forced to ban traffic for double-decker buses, cars with caravans and motorcycles (Group I vehicles).
According to information from the Port Authority, Dubrovnik ferries and catamarans are running according timetables.
