This is the first time in history the company’s magazine is devoted to a single country – Croatia.
British airline easyJet has declared Croatia their ‘Destination of the Year’, which was confirmed by the July issue of their in-flight magazine. For the first time in the company’s history, the magazine is devoted to a single country. The publication is intended for easyJet passenger and will contribute to the further promotion of Croatian destinations since the magazine has a monthly base of more than 6 million passengers, reports Dalmacija Danas on July 23, 2018.
“Choosing Croatia as the destination of the year by one of the key European airlines is a great success for us, but also a confirms that we are making important and strategic moves in transport. The key goals we have defined include positioning Croatia as an attractive year-round tourist destination, which is also very well connected with traffic, especially when it comes to airlines which are extremely important for boosting tourist traffic in the pre and post periods. With this aim in mind, this year, for the first time, we carried out even more significant cooperation with airlines and travel organizers from abroad,” said Croatian tourist board director Kristjan Staničić, adding that Croatian tourism can boast more than 70 new regular lines introduced this year.
EasyJet has chosen Croatia as a destination where traffic and interest are increasing, making the country one of the key destinations of this airline, which in the summer months brings more than a million passengers to Croatian destinations. This year alone there are 49 active lines connecting Croatian destinations such as Dubrovnik, Split, Pula and Zadar with many key European cities such as London, Berlin, Milan, Paris, Basel, Bristol, and others.
EasyJet carries more than 82 million passengers annually, of which approximately 13 million are business travelers. The fleet counts nearly 300 aircraft that fly to a total of 980 routes, or 156 airports in 33 countries around the world.
