November the 9th, 2024 – Croatia has won four Wanderlust awards in London. Wanderlust is otherwise one of the most well respected and highly read British travel publications.
As Morski writes, some more excellent recognition for Croatia and Croatian tourism has come in the form of a Wanderlust award, which was handed over in London.
Croatia took home silver in the category of the most desirable destinations in all Europe, ahead of France, Spain and nearby Greece. Croatia’s beautiful islands were also awarded silver, taking second place in the category of the most desirable region. The fantastic news for Croatia doesn’t end there, either, as Dubrovnik won bronze in the category of the most desirable cities. Croatia’s so-called premier island of Hvar also took home 5th place in the category of the most desirable islands.
Croatia taking home these Wanderlust awards just go to further prove that the country and its tourist destinations are at the very top of desirable destinations in Europe. It’s clear that the success of Croatian tourism in the global framework is unquestionable.
“This is further confirmation of the quality of Croatia’s overall tourist offer, and its value is even greater when we know that in this case we were evaluated by the readers of Wanderlust. I’m sure that many of them have already visited the country, while those who haven’t will certainly be making plans do so after this,” said Kristjan Staničić, director of the Croatian National Tourist Board (HTZ).
