Croatian airports did not slow down even in February when they continued recording stellar results.

2019 continued with brilliant results for Croatia’s top airports, Zagreb, Split, and Dubrovnik, who filed the strongest February ever, reports Ex Yu Aviation on March 5, 2019.

It seems that Zagreb airport is right on schedule with following their plans and expectations for this year as they grew 2.9% after handling 372,351 travelers in January and February. Recall, Zagreb announced that they planned to record a 5% increase in passengers this year. Zagreb airport welcomed 181,154 passengers in February, which is otherwise known as one of the slowest and shortest months of the year. Zagreb’s February numbers are up 6.2% on 2018, while flight operations are up 5% (2,826), writes Ex Yu Aviation.

While construction is vigorously underway at Split airport, with the new terminal set to open in June this year, there is no time for slowing down. Not even in February. Namely, Split airport saw 34,825 passengers in February to achieve their busiest February on record. This is an increase of 13.7% from 2018. Also in line with their plans and expectations for 2019, Split airport welcomed 71,185 passengers in January and February this year, which is an increase of 10.7% compared to last year. Recall, Split airport will also launch many new airlines in 2019, including Air France, British Airways, Luxair, Ryanair and Laudamotion, reports Ex Yu Aviation

And to round off February’s great results is Dubrovnik airport, which welcomed 33,765 passengers last month. Dubrovnik also recorded the largest increase on last year, with numbers 40.3% higher than last year! Dubrovnik airport has welcomed 60,088 passengers since the start of the year, which is up 29.6% over last year and is also on track with their plans and expectations for this year. Recall, Dubrovnik airport will launch the highly anticipated American Airlines flight from Philadelphia, with the addition of new carriers LOT Polish Airlines, Aer Lingus, El Al Israeli Airlines, Ryanair, easyJet, Volotea, and TUI Airways, adds, Ex Yu Aviation
