Ever wondered what Croatia looked like 50 years ago? New online aerial service for all of Croatia now available.
Just a few days ago, the Ministry of Construction and Physical Planning released a web service that enables everyone to check the aerial photos shot before February 15. 1968. The photos were commissioned by the former Yugoslav military and have been kept in Belgrade ever since and Croatian government finally got the copies in 2013.

The service has been used by the authorities to check what buildings could have been legalized in the recent attempt to finally clear up the construction mess happening in the past 50 years (or so)
It is also a wonderful insight in what Croatia used to look like not so long ago!
