February 7, 2019 – The latest news from around Croatia’s airports for new flights to Croatia with updates from Dubrovnik, Zagreb, Pula, Rijeka Zadar, and Split.
Norwegian Airlines has announced their 2019 summer schedule with some changes to Croatia. Split and Dubrovnik will see reinforcements, Zadar will operate the same flights as last year, Pula and Zagreb will have fewer flights, and Rijeka will be wholly eliminated from the summer flight schedule, reports Avio Radar.
The lines from Zagreb to Copenhagen and Stockholm will not operate the same as last year. Namely, the Zagreb-Stockholm will be eliminated entirely and not work in the summer, and the line between Zagreb-Copenhagen will begin operations only in May.
Norwegian Air’s only route for Rijeka, which operated from Oslo, will no longer run. Traffic should also be reduced at Pula Airport, where two seasonal lines from Stavanger and Trondheim have been eliminated. The remaining routes from Helsinki, Oslo, and Stockholm to Pula will operate the same as last year. The new seasonal line between Zadar and Oslo which was introduced in the previous year should also not change.
Norwegian has also stopped winter traffic to Split and Dubrovnik. Namely, last year, Norwegian operated to Dubrovnik to Split from Oslo in early March, though this year, there is not a single flight to Croatia in March. Norwegian’s first flights to Croatia this year begin on April 1, 2019.
The line between Dubrovnik and Barcelona will now only run in the heart of the season, in July and August. However, in the peak season, flights from Helsinki and Copenhagen to Dubrovnik will operate once a week, and the Dubrovnik-Stockholm line will run two extra flights a week compared to last year. The remaining lines to Dubrovnik will work as they did last year.
Split will see reinforcements on four lines, with each line receiving one extra flight a week compared to last year. These routes include Copenhagen, Oslo, Stockholm, and Trondheim. All other lines to Split will remain unchanged.
