Croatia Impressions – Another Tourist Showing us How to Promote our Country

Total Croatia News

Stunning video that’s got Croatia talking

All it takes is an idea, good eye and a drone. For a good tourism promotion video that is. Yet, somehow, it doesn’t happen very often that the ones who are paid to promote the country end up providing us with the result that really catches the attention of the public, and even though our Tourist Boards love to use the term “viral campaign”, and constantly keep leaving money aside in their budget for such a campaign, we are yet to see for something to be done on this subject.. Of course all of the above does not apply to the few promotional videos that have in fact won international awards. But on December 12, 2015, one video clip created by a tourist that was blown away by the beauty of Croatia went viral almost instantly with 40 000 hist in one day. Yes of course, you will say most of those hits came from Croatia after the media got a hold of it, the point we’re trying to make is that it doesn’t take hundreds of thousands of kuna to create a memorable promotional video. Especially not with the technology available today.

Croatia Impressions, created by YouTube user Ante UP 51 during his visit this summer really showcases the full beauty of the Croatian coast. After several videos of his native Switzerland, Ante’s next choice was Croatia and we’re glad he brought his equipment with him. And maybe someone in the decision making position should start thinking about an open competition for the best video. Cash reward, public voting system. It would be a lot cheaper than the constant trial and error method taxpayers are paying for. But then again, that’s just my opinion.

Now I recommend you watch the clip in full HD for the best experience possible.
