Have you heard about the “Blue & Green Homestay” labels by Lika-Senj County?

Last month, Apartments “Larma” in Senj, led by Drazenka Biondić, became the proud owners of the first quality label in Lika-Senj County titled “Blue & Green Homestay.” Today, 11 other hosts boast this label on their family accommodation, reports HRTurizam on November 23, 2018.

The Lika-Senj County Tourist Board has awarded new quality labels to family accommodation in the region, in cooperation with the system of local tourist communities. This is an upgrade to the existing categorization system with the aim of increasing the competitiveness and the level of quality of the apartments, rooms, and houses being rented.

Project Manager Ankica Grabasnjak and Director of the Tourist Board of Lika-Senj County, Ivan Radošević, along with colleagues from local tourist boards, awarded the following hosts in family accommodation: Apartments Larma Draženka Biondić, Senj, Holiday Home Nevenka Rudelić, Gospić, Holiday House Goran Šuper, Rizvanuša, Apartments Manda Milković, Gospić, Apartments Goran Šarić, Gospić, Holiday Home Joso Binički, Mušaluk, Apartment Denis Lončar, Prozor, Apartments Mario Orešković, Ličko Lešće, Rooms Sonja Sokač, Vrelo Koreničko, Holiday Home Igor Grisogono, Ćuić Krčevina and Rooms Marija Matejčić, Vranovača.

Family accommodation in Lika is becoming more and more developed, albeit step by step, with a particular focus on quality accommodation – and the best way to establish family accommodation is by the quality of the accommodation offered or by labels. Thus, the Tourist Board of Lika-Senj County created the unique label named “Blue & Green Homestay” with three sub-branches: Hike friendly, Bike friendly and Motorbike friendly.

The logo, placed on a blue and green background, represents the Velebit degenia, an endemic plant from the Brassicaceae family. It is a strictly protected species, the rarest plant in Croatia, and is a symbol of Velebit and Croatia – and you can even find it on a 50 lipa coin!
