On the 25 – 26th October 2017, the Days of Croatian Tourism took place in Lošinj and Croatia Yachting won the “Best Yacht Charter Company”.
The Days of Croatian Tourism (DHT) is a gathering of the tourism sector, organised by the Ministry of Tourism, the Croatian National Tourist Board and the Croatian Chamber of Economy, this year saw more than 1,500 participants vying for a number of prestigious titles.
Rovinj took the Most Successful Summer Destination and Split was truly the champion of 2017 taking – the “Best City Break” and “Best Destination of the Year”.
On the opening of the ceremony, Tourism Minister Gary Cappelli had this to say:
“Croatia is today one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world, and to ensure the long-term success of Croatian tourism, we must continually improve. That is why Days of Croatian Tourism, as the largest gathering of stakeholders in Croatian tourism, is a great opportunity to look back on the results, exchange experiences, talk about new ideas and trends in the tourism world… This gathering is also an opportunity to reward those who are an example of the development and quality of Croatian tourism and encourage us all. I congratulate everyone on the award, thank you for your persistent and dedicated work and contribution to this successful Croatian tourist story.”
Along the Adriatic, a huge cornerstone of tourism is the nautical sector. The lure of sailing in Croatia continues to grow year-after-year and with that, the number of boats and Charter Companies on offer. As local or international guests looking to charter a yacht in Croatia, searching through the plethora of information available online can be an arduous task – how do you know who to trust, who will ensure a wonderful experience from beginning to end?
A difficult question to answer which is exactly why the DHT exists, to set the standards of excellence and award those working hard in their relevant fields.
Croatia Yachting Charter has taken the sought-after title of “Best Yacht Charter Company, 2017”, which will no doubt give them a firm-footing heading into the 2018 sailing season.
Croatia Yachting recently celebrated their 10-year Anniversary and have crafted a reputation for excellent service and standards in the industry. As well as Yacht Charter, they are also the certified dealer of Hanse Yachts in Croatia and run a very successful Yacht Charter Management Program (looking to invest in a yacht, it is easier than you think, read more here).
Coincidentally, last weekend I went sailing with my husband and friends in the Hanse 455 with Croatia yachting; my friends regularly charter yachts and wanted to see the Hanse 455 in action and I was curious about the ‘guest experience’ with Croatia Yachting. You can look forward to my full report soon but here’s a spoiler – I understand why they just won the “Best Charter Company”.
