The destinations offer a unique and unforgettable experience, according to The Independent, and NP Plitvice Lakes, declared a national park back in 1949, has been on the UNESCO World Heritage List since 1979.
The national park is located in the green heart of Croatia is best known for its crystal clear lakes, beautiful waterfalls in an impressive heavily forested environment. This unique natural phenomenon showcases the astonishing beauty of wild nature, giving visitors the opportunity to enjoy the charms of this natural pearl.
NP Plitvice Lakes has a total of sixteen lakes that boast terraces and are connected by a series of waterfalls. The lakes are known for their vibrant colours, which vary from azure to green, grey and blue, depending on the mineral content and organisms in the water, as well as the angle of sunlight above.
