Daniela Rogulj

The Opatija Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality Management will be the first in Croatia, and among the few in Europe, to introduce an educational program for camping management early next year. In this program, participants will be taught the specific knowledge in the field of modern camping services.

In particular, this is a program of continuing education through professional training for jobs called “Management of Camping Resorts”, and after completion of the program, participants will be able to take responsibility for providing more complex camping services and build entrepreneurial skills in building and managing camps. The program itself is the first program of lifelong learning for camping management in Croatia, and was developed in order to allow attendants to learn and master the specific knowledge in the field of modern camping services, reports HRTurizam on December 29, 2016.

“Motivated by the knowledge that the global tourism trends condition the transformation of camping sites in camping resorts, the Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality Management in Opatija, as the only institution that is fully focused on education and scientific development of human resources in the field of tourism and hospitality industry, for the academic year 2016/2017, has organized and conducted a program of lifelong learning in the field of modern camping services,” says the Faculty of Management in Tourism and Hospitality Management in Opatija.

The acquired knowledge and competence from the program will contribute to the development of the overall camping offer in the way of quality differentiation and specialization, which as a whole has achieved a significant competitive advantage for Croatian camping services in the Mediterranean. The courses are taught by distinguished professors in the Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality Management in Opatija and many experienced trainers with years of experience in the practice of reputable travel companies in their portfolio who have the best Croatian camping resorts. Participants will take part in 51 hours of classes, practical exercises and field work in camps.
