PHOTOS: A Closer Look at Croatia’s First Theme Park, Fun Park Mirnovec

Fun Park Mirnovec is modeled after Italy’s famous theme park “Gardaland”.

Construction on the highly anticipated Fun Park Mirnovec, in accordance with the plan, is nearing its end. The grand opening for the first theme park in Croatia is scheduled for June 1, 2017, reports Antena Zadar on March 11, 2017.

As the first true theme park in Croatia, Fun Park Mirnovec will cover nearly 50,000 square meters on land situated on the Adriatic highway, or more specifically at the entrance to the road leading to Crvena luka in Biograd na Moru.

Visitors to the park will be able to enjoy 26 attractions divided into three thematic parts: Pirate City, the Wild West, and the Universe. Each thematic part will have its own entrance and a combination of attractions and games with content aimed at children, teenagers, and families. The park will also offer a diverse range of food and drinks, games, souvenir shops, events and concerts.

 

15 million euros has been invested for the first phase of construction, while a later upgrade with new investments will grow that number to 25 million euros.
