This has been a fantastic year for the Luxury Boutique Hotel Villa Vulin, the first 5-star hotel in Pula.
In September, Villa Vulin was awarded the title of the best small hotel in Europe and the best City hotel by the ‘International Hotel Awards 2017-2018’, in accordance with their international standards for 5-star hotel facilities. A few days ago, hotel owner Vaso Vulin returned from Novi Sad in Serbia, where Villa Vulin took away no less than six gold medals at the 50th International Tourism Fair!
The most significant award is still on the horizon, reports Glas Istre on October 17, 2017. Back in March, Villa Vulin was nominated for one of the most prestigious awards in the hotel industry: World Luxury Hotel Awards, given out by the international organisation of the same name. Winning a World Luxury Hotel Award is seen as the crown jewel of all business achievements in hospitality, a sort of an Oscar equivalent in the hotel industry.
When the reporters reached out to Mr. Vulin to congratulate him on the champion titles won in Novi Sad, he remarked that he got an invitation to attend the World Luxury Hotel Awards ceremony in Hotel Kulm in St. Moritz on December 2, along with an announcement of an upcoming surprise.
According to the owner, Villa Vulin is the only hotel in Croatia to have ever won the International Hotel Award. Last year, a single hotel from the region took away the said award – Regent Porto Montenegro in Tivat.
“Of course I’m very proud and satisfied, though I wasn’t expecting such a successful award streak in a span of a single year. We’re talking about high recognition both from professional experts and the visitors, and it all means a lot to a small family hotel in the small city of Pula, especially because we’re the only hotel in Croatia to have ever won these internationally acclaimed awards, as far as I know. A week ago, at the 50th International Tourism Fair in Novi Sad, we won the gold cup for the exclusivity of the object and the service, as well as gold medals for the exclusivity of apartment accommodation, promotional activities, the scope of the gastronomic offer of the Mediterranean cuisine, the high quality of the interior design and furniture, and our visual identity. We are looking forward to the biggest award of them all, a title from the World Luxury Hotel Awards. We were nominated by a certain European institution; a 30-day public vote was held on all continents. Luxury Hotel Villa Vulin won incredible awards this year, on the highest international level! There is no higher peak than this”, said Vulin.

Vulin also emphasized they are proud to say that no bank or institution ever played a role in their development and progress – not by supporting them with funds nor in any other way.
