Images of the beaches of Croatia in summer may have you packing your bags, but winter is equally sepctacular.
Croatia is famous for its summer tourism along the beaches and islands of its fabled Adriatic coast, but there is another Croatia which is gathering pace in the country – winter tourism.
The beaches may be empty, but the magic of Croatia’s nature offers an altogether different spectacular experience. Combined ith various initiatives to extend the season, more people are now looking at Croatia also as a winter destination.
And with breathtaking sights such as Plitvice Lakes (captured by Romulic and Stojcic in the lead photo above), it is little wonder. But spare a thought for some of the lesser known regions of Croatia. Regions such as Medjimurje in winter, captured beautifully in this video released on January 9, 2016 by Little Medjimurje.
As far from the summer beach as you can imagine, just one more highlight in Croatia’s extremely diverse tourism offer.
