Summer is here, where is your favorite Croatian destination to beat the crowds for cheap?

We are now officially in the summer season, which means that many of us have holidays right around the corner. For those of us that already have our summer vacation planned, bravo, and for those of us that don’t, don’t fret.

Lucky for you, MasterCard recently released a list of Europe’s 44 best undiscovered and affordable destinations to beat the crowds this summer. Their list of “under-the-radar” spots was chosen with the help of travel bloggers, tourism experts, and MasterCard data, and each place was ranked according to factors such as beauty, crowds, costs, convenience, and payment acceptance. British online newspaper The Independent then compiled their list of the 19 most affordable hidden treasures in Europe, according to the MasterCard data, on June 25, 2017.

The list, of course, includes a Croatian gem, the island of Pag.

Both publications read:

“The island of Pag is known for its moon-shaped landscape, Pag cheese and lace production. Pebble and sand beaches ring the island.

Average price of a meal per person at a mid-range restaurant: €13 (£11.45)

Price per night, per person for a double room in a 3-star hotel or guesthouse: Under €30 (£26.43).”

Pag island might get a bit more crowded this summer now…
