Dubrovnik is always the centre of attention when it comes to southern Croatia, or Croatia in general for that matter. Konavle, a picturesque, unspoiled area flanked by evergreen pines, rugged mountains and the sea just south of the Pearl of the Adriatic and north of the Montenegrin border, gets much less attention, as does its absolutely breath-taking coastline.
