Canada’s Air Transat, the only carrier offering direct seasonal flights between Toronto and Zagreb, has seen impressive results with their service, EX-YU Aviation reported earlier today, June 13.
“For a relatively new program, it’s been going amazing. It’s performing better than most new programs and I think it’s because there’s a pent-up demand and the value is so good,” Nicole Bursey, Transat’s Commercial Director, told EX-YU Aviation News, adding, however, that “Our estimates show there is low demand during the winter, so we are keeping it as a seasonal service running until October.”
This is the second year of Transat’s operations in Zagreb and, until now, there has been one weekly service, but the carrier is adding a second weekly flight this Sunday. The duration of the flight is 8h 45min, as opposed to connecting flights with an average duration of 10 hours.
Services will also run longer this year, until October 18, instead of September 3.
