Photo of the Day: Red Poppy Fields

Although agricultural history in Baranja and Slavonia regions remembers large red poppy fields, today they are a rare sight. A small comeback of this culture was noted in 2016, with around 30 hectares of it in domestic production. A long way to go to reach the coverage of around 50.000 hectares in Czech Republic, for example.

If you visit Croatia and its eastern regions in June, be ready to capture these rare, but glorious red fields.
