St. Michael’s church in Kijevo, Dalmatian hinterland, was built originally by local Catholics in the beginning of the 13th century, falling into ruins over time. In 1930 she was rebuilt from a smaller parish church to a monumental size through the great sacrifice of locals.
During the Second World War she was destroyed and partially rebuilt in 1948-49, with only one bell tower. For the third time in the same millennium she was destroyed again in 1991, once again restored to its current state.
