Mljet Island in the south of the Croatian Adriatic Sea was and is on maritime trade routes, so it is no surprise that the seabed holds many known or undiscovered finds. In Pomena Bay, a naturally protected cove, divers can admire remains of clay dishes such as amphorae, or oriental cargo on a sunken Venetian ship.
This in addition to the bountiful underwater flora and fauna anyone can enjoy through snorkeling or scuba diving, or at least in semi-submarines and their glass bottoms.
