When such a graphite earthy fruitiness appears already on the nose I sense a different aroma of the wine, thinner in body, but striking.
Elegant in the mouth, smooth with occasional leathery tannins, just enough for the black currant and young bitter sour cherry get a wine quality.
Dry, with 13.4% alcohol, balanced fruit sweetness and acidity, all wonderfully composed in a medium full body. I read this wine as the accomplishment of a hedonistic imperative, but with a specific aroma – after the “new world edition” of 2012, this harvest is much more convincing and I like it very much! The preservation of inherent aroma and dosed rustic quality. Embedded wood, without a noticeable vanilla of oak, very lively, permeated with a wine character, which cannot be nothing other than a Blatina…
How well it goes with sheep cheese or pasta with meat sauce. Gets under your skin wonderfully with every sip.
For full tenderness, I recommend leaving it in the glass for ten minutes after opening.
