Updated on:

Chicken, pork or vegetables and trout from the grill, but also carp on fork are a good basis for the Chardonnay 2016 by the Buhač family form Ilok. The wine is fresh and relatively full at the same time, and ideal for spring outings due to its more than friendly price (29.98 kuna in Vrutak) and a screw-in cap, which means it won’t get spilled on some meadow.

Admirers of different wine style from this week’s series of Wine Stars ratings can choose the ecologically produced Maraština Jokić 2015 from Polača between Benkovac and Biograd, which will go well with asparagus (Bio&bio, 100 kuna), Quercus Chardonnay 2016 form the Slovenian Goriška Brda with fish (Vrutak, 42.90 kuna) or the Pelješac Plavac Antunović 2017 with red meat (Vrutak, 30 kuna).
