The Rota Elite Plavac Mali 2012 has a rich and full taste, made by the Vina Rota company in Kuna on the Pelješac peninsula, halfway between Split and Dubrovnik. This warm and rounded wine was awarded three stars and Wine of the Week title by Wine Stars reviewers, while the bottle costs 150 kuna in Vrutak.
Competing were also a Sauvignon 2015 by the Plešivica family Tomac, a mineral, fine and salty wine with a discrete variety scent, good body and acidity (Dropi, 87.50 kuna); Lasin 2014, a red wine by the Sladić winery from Plastovo near Skradin in Central Dalmatia from a less known but very perspective variety Lasina, reminiscent of Pinot (Dropi, 80 kuna); and Graševina Mitrovac 2015 by Ivica Perak from Kutjevo in the eastern region of Slavonia, a wine with a honey taste costing 50 kuna in Vrutak.
