In the last few days, the Croatian national airline has made several operational changes on a number of international routes. This included a shift in the seasonal line between Rijeka and Munich, reports Croatian Aviation.
Although Croatia Airlines originally planned to resume the Rijeka-Munich from May 1 with three flights a week, this will not happen. Namely, the Croatian national airline has canceled all flights on this route from the beginning to the middle of May, so now the first flight has been announced for May 15, 2022.
Although three flights a week were originally planned, Croatia Airlines additionally canceled all flights to Rijeka on Tuesdays until June 7, so it will operate twice a week, on Thursdays and Sundays, until that date.
From June 7 to the end of the summer flight schedule, three flights a week are currently planned, every Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday, with DashQ400 aircraft with a capacity of 76 seats.
Compared to the first announcement, Croatia Airlines now offers 1,368 seats less on the Rijeka-Munich route or a total of 10,488 seats in the entire summer flight schedule.
The Osijek-Munich line, introduced by Croatia Airlines on November 15 last year, ran until mid-January. It was temporarily suspended due to restrictive measures that significantly affected passenger demand, but an agreement was reached between Osijek Airport and Croatia Airlines, and the line will operate again from May 2 this year with two flights a week, every Monday. and Friday.
What is still unresolved is the possibility to continue the journey to other destinations in Europe and the world, that is, the number of possible connections is relatively small. The contract with German Lufthansa is extremely important for the success of this code-share line.
