Sports Plane Crashes Near Vinkovci

September the 16th, 2023 – A small sports plane has crashed around one kilometre from Vinkovci’s Sopot Airport.

As Poslovni Dnevnik writes, the authorities were informed of the small sports plane having crashed close to Vinkovci. Vukovar’s County Centre (112) received the information shortly before midday today, more precisely at 11:49.

As has since been announced by the Civil Protection Directorate, emergency medical assistance and the police were quickly sent out to the field to investigate the plane crash and treat and medical emergencies.

There was one person on the plane who unfortunately did suffer injuries worthy of medical attention. They were taken from the scene of the plane cash and promptly treated at the Vinkovci General County Hospital.
