August the 2nd, 2025 – The Našice handball team “Gromovi” has started preparations for the new competitive season. More about the plans of N RK Nexe are revealed below.

The team traditionally held its first gathering and first training session after the summer break at the NK FEŠK field in Feričanci, and traditionally, the second part of the training session – football was played. The players, members of the coaching staff and the club’s management were greeted at the beginning by president Josip Ergović, who wished them good preparations and a successful season.

Coach Krešo Ivanković also gave a welcoming speech and briefly presented the plan and programme of the preparations. Fitness coach Nikola Golub also conducted a lighter training session with the team.

The Gromovi will get the initial preparations out of the way in Našice, and from August the 7th to the 17th, they will continue their training sessions in Zlatibor, Serbia, where they will also play one preparatory match. From August the 19th to the 23rd, RK NEXE will participate in the international tournament in Ohrid, Macedonia, and spend the last part of the preparations until the start of the Paket24 Premier League back in Našice.

The “Gromovi” will play their first official match of the new season on September the 13th in Našice, when they will host RK Metković Zalmo in the first round of the Premier League.

The gathering was an opportunity to meet new members of the club – the team was joined by young Polish goalkeeper Marcel Jastrzebski, who arrived in Našice from Orlen Wisla Plock. Starting this season, the goalkeeper coach will be Mario Blažević.

The new assistant coach is Janko Kević, for whom this will be the third engagement in RK NEXE. After spending eleven years in Našice as a player, “Keva” will now be off the field in the role of assistant coach with Krešo Ivanković, with whom he has been acquainted since his playing days.

After a little over half a season spent in the Bundesliga, Manuel Štrlek has returned to Našice from his loan from Berlin. Young players Petar Barišić, Karlo Perić and Predrag Serdar will also be preparing. Loris Hromin, Matko Moslavac and Ognjen Cenić were absent from the training camp due to national team commitments, but they will join the team later.
