Brilliant wins by Sinković brothers and Damir Martin in the finals of the European Rowing Championship.
Martin and Valent Sinković have won the gold medal at the European Rowing Championships in Men’s Double Sculls. On May 8, 2016, they rowed to glory in Brandenburg, Germany, and they did it in style.
Martin Sinković on bow and Valent Sinković on stroke have left the competition behind more than eight seconds, a rare case in the events of this quality. The German team finished second while Lithuanian team came third.
Just an hour later, another Croatian rower, Damir Martin, also left his competition far behind winning the gold medal 13 seconds in front of Mindaugas Griskonis of Lithuania and 20 seconds in front of the current world champion Ondray Synek from the Chezch Republic.
Luka Radonić finished in sixth place in the finals of Lightweight Men’s Single Sculls earlier in the morning, rounding up a great day for Croatian Rowing in Brandenburg today.
The Sinković brothers and Damir Martin have all shown their fantastic form, and with the Olympic Games coming soon they have to be considered as favorites for the gold in Brasil. Let’s just keep our fingers crossed, shall we?
