The hotel is the largest investment in Istrian tourism this year.
On Thursday, a new hotel was open in Rovinj in Istria. Maistra invested about 300 million kuna in the new family hotel Amarin, and that makes it the single largest investment this year in the Istrian tourism, reports Jutarnji List on Augtst 20, 2016.
Maistra announced that the hotel was built in a little less than a year, at the site of the old Valdaliso hotel and camping site, which were closed and demolished last September.
Guests at the new hotel, which is located on the northwest side of Rovinj near the sea, can choose among 280 rooms, which can accommodate over a thousand guests.
“A large part of the hotel is focused on families with children, and therefore most of the rooms are interconnected with doors, which facilitates communication of guests staying with children, but also allows them a high degree of privacy”, said Maistra in a statement, adding that the hotel and the surrounding areas include numerous facilities, playgrounds, as many as seven indoor and outdoor pools, the wellness and spa area, and six restaurants.
The hotel was built by the Kamgrad company, together with a number of supporting companies.
Maistra pointed out that its parent company Adris had invested more than 400 million kuna in the tourist part of the business this year, while in the next three years they plan to invest additional 1.6 billion kuna.
