The exhibition hall of the Split City Library of Marko Marulić opens with an exhibition by Miro Župa titled “Raznol i kosti” (Miscellaneous and Bones). The exhibition is now open and will run through September 29.
Župa was born in Split in 1978, quickly finding his passion for art and attended the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb for direction sculpture. He graduated the Academy in 2002 with professor Stanka Jančića, and currently spends his time living and working between Split and Zagreb.
With the comic strip collective “Komikaze”, Župa has exhibited several times in Croatia and abroad, and has hosted several exhibitions in the Gallery of the Student Centre in Zagreb, Gallery Umjetnina, Adria art analee, Greta Gallery and Gallery Jogurt-Medika.
From his solo exhibitions, Župa has exhibited “drifting shipwreck” in the Gallery Dalmacijaland Jelsa, a haiku comics exhibition in the gallery HOK Split, and an exhibition of sculptures and comic strips in the Gallery Jogurt-Medika, among many others.
Župa is most known for his comic strip, sculpture, and poster exhibitions.
