“Day of the Donkey” Comes to Marjan Park this Sunday

Daniela Rogulj

This Sunday, September 25, “Day of the Donkey” will be held at park Marjan. The rich program is intended for anyone aged 5-95 years – with art, ecology and of course plenty of good music and entertainment.

The program will begin with workshops for children that will last from 10h to 13h, consisting of eco-workshops for kids to draw about the things that they would like to see on Marjan. The eco workshop is organized in cooperation with Fabula Organic Pencil, a company that produces ecologically designed pens from recycled organic waste.

Following the children’s workshops, a debate on the biodiversity and cultural potential of park Marjan will begin in 17h, with concerts and performances by Slovenian artists from Split taking place from 15h-19h. There will also be an exhibition by Split artist Frank Bušić dedicated to the Dalmatian donkey.

A rich socio-cultural program at the Marjan plateau with the theme of the sustainable potential for Marjan will consist of Marko Brecelj, Matija Habjanec, Alen Čelić, Orkestar Sivi and performances by Vanja Pagar and Hrvoje Cokarić, Marko Brecelj, Dani Kavaš, Arijana Markučič and Dadanti.
