This Saturday, October 1, Zagreb will once again be part of the global art phenomenon “White Night” (Nuit Blanche), uniting diverse artistic intervention and cultural events, while enriching the tourist offer.

“White Night” originated in Paris as a free one-day tour of the city to the rhythm of art, a concept that soon took over other world cities. White Night is now known as an annual all-night or nighttime arts festival, where museums, private and public art galleries, and other cultural institutions are open free of charge, with the city center itself being turned into a de facto art gallery. The event will last in Zagreb until 01:00.

As many as 18 locations throughout Zagreb will present various programs, including the Croatian National Theatre in Zagreb, the French Institute, the Museum of Arts and Crafts, Technical Museum of Nikola Tesla, Galerija Klovićevi dvori, Ethnographic Museum, Lauba, Art Park Vintage Festival, Croatian Audiovisual Centre, Festival of Experimental Film, Mozgaonica, Pogon Jedinstvo, BuntArt and the Zagreb Tourist Board.

White Night was held for the first time last year in Zagreb as part of the French festival in Croatia, “Rendez-Vous”, where Croatian audiences presented French culture in its full diversity and richness, which was warmly invited by both citizens and tourists.

Zagreb is now, for the second year in a row, part of the European and global family of cities (including Brussels, Toronto, Kyoto, Taipei, and others) who organize and recognize White Night.

Entry to all events is free.
