Stunning Central Dalmatia features once more in the British press, as the second generation British love affair with the Dalmatian coast continues on October 6, 2016.
Before the recent conflict in the region, British tourists made up a large number of the tourists to the former Yugoslav coast, most of which today is Croatia. Indeed, there were 440,000 of them annually, making former Yugoslavia the second most popular destination for Brits after Spain. Then came the way, which coincided with the opening of new low-cost package destinations such as Turkey and Egypt, and the pattern of tourism changed.
A new generation of Brits is rediscovering the Dalmatian coast. Helped by a surge in flight options and a stream of positive media and holiday impressions, British voices are being heard in the region’s cafes and beaches in ever increasing numbers.
