Čilić and Dodig have brought Croatia to the brink of seizing the second Davis Cup trophy, as the history of this competition states Croatia has never lost after leading 2-1. After the first day the score was even. Marin Čilić brought Croatia to a lead with a 6-3, 7-5, 3-6, 1-6, 6-2 victory over Federic Delbonis, while Del Potro brought Argentina their first point by defeating Ivo Karlović with 6-4, 6-7 (6), 6-3, 7-5.
In the last day of the finals, at 14h on Sunday the top players of both teams will play, Marin Čilić and Juan Martin Del Potro, and after them in the possibly deciding fifth match Ivo Karlović and Federico Delbonis.
