Winter Time: Drivers, Keep Your Headlights On!

Winter time is upon us: in the night of October 29, we’re to put our clocks an hour back at 3 AM.

We all know about the clock getting set an hour back in the wee hours of the upcoming night. Here’s a quick notice for all the drivers out there: remember to keep your daytime running lamps or dipped headlights turned on even during daytime. According to the Road Traffic Safety Act, moped and motorbike owners are required to keep their dipped headlighs running throughout the year.

Starting from tomorrow, if you get stopped by the police during daylight hours and it turns out you failed to follow the regulations listed above, expect to be penalised with a 300 kuna fine. Don’t say we didn’t warn you!
