Five Language, EU-Funded Play Performed in Rijeka

ZAGREB, March 3, 2018 – The play “The Mountain Giants (I giganti della montagna )” by Luigio Pirandelli and directed by Paolo Magelli was performed in Rijeka on Friday as part of the EU-granted Fifth Ensemble Project involving actors of five theatres of ethnic minorities in Croatia, Italy, Romania, Serbia and Macedonia.

The play was produced within the programme “Re-discovering Europe”, which receives allocations under the “Creative Europe” funding scheme.

The actors in the play are Valentina Banci, Mirko Soldano, Aniko Kiss, Giuseppe Nicodemo, Daniel Dan Malalan, Xhevdet Jashari, Mauro Malinverno, Boris Kucov, Fisnik Zeqiri, Doroteja Nadrah, Richard Hladik, Silvia Torok and Ivna Bruck.

After the premiere in the Croatian seaport of Rijeka, they will render the play in five languages also in Trieste, Skopje, Subotica and Temisoara.
