Legendary Croatian hip-hop group TBF will open Foodballerka, a new trendy festival of football, gastronomy, and music at Zagreb’s Strossmayer Square.
From June 14 to July 15, 2018, Strossmayer Square will become a football lover’s paradise where Croatia’s World Cup matches will be projected on big screens with the smell of barbecue in the air. The brand new Foodballerka festival will kick off with legendary Croatian group TBF who will warm up the atmosphere with an evening concert, reports Gol.hr on June 2, 2018.
Foodballerka will present a gourmet offer by various caterers who will create original specialties tailored to football fans, including burgers, unique desserts, various salads, pastries, snacks, sushi and more – with up to 20 catering booths on location!
In addition to the gastronomic offer, visitors will enjoy several types of craft beer courtesy of Garden Brewery, which goes hand in hand with screaming football and tasty barbecue. And if, by chance, you’re not up barbecue and beer? Guests can delight in refreshing cocktails and fruit salads crafted by a famous travel writer.
The organizer has also carefully designed a kids’ program, allowing the youngest in attendance to take pleasure in a variety of games and face painting – and for the first time at a street festival, young mother’s will be thankful for HIPP and their diaper changing area. There will even be a separate area for breastfeeding where mothers can feed their little ones in peace.
The festivals at Strossmayer Square are known for their excellent culinary offer, which delighted everyone at last year’s Fuliranje and Zagreb Burger Festival, said Hana Klain, Head of Communications. Klain added that Foodballerka has invited all renowned caterers to prepare only local and foreign specialties adapted to an outdoor festival, with a particular emphasis on quality.
With two weeks to go, Foodballerka’s guests can enjoy the perks of Zagreb institutions Time, Wurst Bar, The Garden Bar & Kitchen, T & T, RougeMarin, Kitchen & Grill Plac, OLI House, Milky, Cocktail Bar by Rakijarnica & Mangosta, Jamnica Gemišt Bar, Good Food, Gingle Bells, 50 A Burger & Champagne Bar, El Toro, Lantern, BarBaQ, Gummenyak and Pommes Frites.
A music entertainment program will also be included, and visitors can expect games and prizes as well as a GOL.hr fan corner.
