On the 11th of August, the Battle of Sinj 1715 was performed in Sinj for the twelfth time.

To commemorate and celebrate the defense of Sinj from the Ottoman invasion in 1715, the Battle of Sinj Sinj and the events that preceeded the action were performed in Sinj once again. The event was celebrated in the organization of the Tourist Board of Sinj with the support of the City of Sinj and Split-Dalmatia County.

The Battle of Sinj took place in two acts. The first act began at Pijaca, Kralja Tomislava Square, when the Ottomans conquered the Sinj varoš, abolished the church and led the people into slavery. Mustafa-paša Čelić celebrated in his chariot, announcing the easy conquest of the Sinj Fortress to a handful of defenders with the image of the Mother of God.

Unlike in the past, the second act of the play was held at Dr. Franjo Tuđman Square for technical reasons. In the second act, the Defense Council decides to defend its city from a much more powerful enemy and succeeds in retrieving the image of the Mother of Grace. Now the Miraculous Lady of Sinj, the image was crowned as the guardian of Sinj.

The performance was attended by hundreds of domestic and foreign spectators. The author of the dramatic model of reenactment was Velimir Borković, while the director of the play Rade Perković. The festival was attended by members of the Sinj Theatre, priests from the Franciscan Monastery, Fr. Gabrijel Jurišić and Fr. Perica Maslać, the Association of Rastaša and Guslara from Otok, Kliški uskoci, the Sinj majorettes, the horsemen of the Alka Knights Society who brought horses from the Alkar stud farm. The chariot was driven by Davor Ivković.
