Croatian Championship for Young Roboticists held in Sinj, Here are the Winners!

Over the weekend, the Croatian Championship for Young Roboticists was held in Sinj.

Under the high patronage of Croatian President Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović and President of the Croatian Parliament Božo Petrov, on Saturday, March 11 the Croatian Championship for Young Roboticists was held in Sinj, reports Ferata.hr on March 13, 2017.

The championship was organized by the Croatian Association of Technical Culture and the Croatian Robotic Alliance – Croatian Robotics Society, and in the competition were 220 primary and secondary schools which were divided into 110 teams.

The competitions were held in nine categories by the rules of world RoboCup Organisation. The tenth category was intended for the creation of robotic offspring – Recue Line Helper, and the eleventh category was a special “Robotic Alka” which delighted everyone in attendance.

Students competed in order to fight for their place on the Croatian robotic team who will compete in July at the World Championships for Young Roboticists in Japan.

In addition, Marko Jurela, an elementary school student at OŠ Ivana Mažuranića Han, won second place in the category of Robotic Alka.

The most successful mentor was awarded to Ivica Kolarić from Varaždin, who is also the coach of the younger robotic team.
